Can I log PIC during the time I serve as SIC during the Part 135 legs when the company designated PIC is the sole manipulator of the controls? I am qualified and current to serve as PIC in Lear Jets under 14 CFR part 135. My PIC 8410 was issued on May 5th, 2004 after the successful completion of my part 135 checkride and type rating. I am assigned as SIC for a Part 135 Air Carrier. My understanding is that while it is not possible for two pilots to act as PIC simultaneously, it is possible for two pilots to log PIC flight time simultaneously. PIC flight time may be logged by both the PIC responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft during flight time in accordance with 14 CFR 1.1, and by the pilot who acts as the sole manipulator of the controls of the aircraft for which the pilot is rated under 14 CFR 61.51 and current under 135.293 135.297 and 135.299.
